Feedback from the Pacific Northwest
"I live in the Pacific Northwest where the winters can wreak havoc on my SAD. From September to March I almost never get to see the sun. The sky is near-constantly covered in clouds and as soon as the time change hits, it gets dark at 4:30pm. I already have fatigue issues and the lack of sunlight makes it substantially worse. I’ve had SAD lights in the past but they’re difficult for me to use. I work outside of the home so I obviously can’t take normal SAD lights with me and have to be at work early enough that getting up extra early to spend a half hour sitting in front of a light is never going to happen with consistency. Enter Human Charger!
My Natutopath loves the Human Charger so much that she’s the one who recommended it to me. I figured that it couldn’t hurt to try and got a pair of my own. Absolute game changer. Once I stumble out of bed, I put them on as I go about my morning routine and allow the light to help my brain start waking up. I’ll typically let it run another cycle as I walk to work in the dark and then another cycle or two when I hit my afternoon slump. I love it! The Human Charger is easy to use and has proven effective for me. Let me be perfectly clear. This light device is great but it isn’t a miracle. If your issues aren’t due to lack of daylight or you don’t use them consistently they’re not going to be effective. HOWEVER, as far as my needs are concerned the Human Charger is perfect! It is far more effective than a generic SAD light that sits on your desk and shines light into your eyes. The Human Charger is portable and convenient. I use it when I need a little pick me up during my work day. These little light headphones help me feel more alert and with consistent use help to keep the winter blues at bay. I have also used them to when traveling to decrease jet lag. I can’t recommend them enough! "
